Here are 5 Tips to Reduce Your Stress and Your Belly!
Tip # 1. Eat and Drink Right for Your Nutritional Needs
Make sure you’re drinking enough water (see my post Drink Your Water to Shrink Your Belly) and eating high-quality food, in healthy proportions for your body’s needs.
Skipping breakfast and lunch, eating processed foods, drinking caffeine all day and drinking wine at night are all very stressful to your body. You need to eat balanced meals through out the day to keep your body fueled and your metabolism elevated.
A good place to start for flat-belly meal planning is to indentify your Metabolic Type®. In my Friend Your Body 12-Week Transformation Challenge I teach you how to do that. To learn more about my challenge click here: http://friendyourbody.com/page/transformation-challenge
Tip # 2. Get Plenty of Rest
To function at its best and be fit, your body needs rest. If you’re staying up late and you’re on the go all the time, your body will start to break down and achieving that flat tummy you desire so badly will be even harder to get!
Start unwinding by 7pm so you can be in bed and asleep by 10pm—this will help you get on a healthy rest and repair cycle.
Tip # 3. Think Healthy Thoughts
Your body believes every word you think and say. So feed your body happy, healthy thoughts everyday. A happy body is a healthy body.
Tip # 4. Reduce Your Toxic Load
As I mentioned above we are inundated with chemicals and electromagnetic pollution. The reality is we can’t completely avoid all of them. But you can make the effort to reduce your exposure by using non-toxic cleaners and hygiene products in your home and minimizing your exposure to ELFs (extremely low frequencies) from computers, TVs and cell phones etc.
Tip # 5. Move Your Body
Our bodies are designed to move every day. But that doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym to exercise—you can do things right from home, with minimal equipment. To help you get started, check my workout video 5 Quickie Moves for Sexy Legs and Sleek Arms.
But before you engage in an exercise program, be sure to address tip #s 1-4 first. If your body us under too much stress load from poor eating, dehydration, unhealthy thoughts and too many toxins, it will not respond favorably to exercise.
Now you have five tips to reduce your stress and your belly. So create a plan for yourself and make it happen!
